These stools are crafted from solid oak and saddle leather. I wanted the seat to curve in a way that felt invitingly lived-in, and embrace you a bit when you sit down. What’s most interesting to me about them is how the subtle differences in design give each a different feeling.

A BAROQUE DREAM
Where ornate, old-world details abound, the simple, structural silhouettes of Vincent Van Duysen’s designs create a welcoming break for the senses, and an ideal seat from which to view the beauty all around you.
To maximize the comfort and longevity of the sofa, we craft it in different stages: First padding out the frame and upholstering it. Then adding a spring base into the structure, and finally the down and high quality foam mattress. Ultimately the idea is to create a sofa that envelops your body like a hug, and maintains its resilience for years to come.

AN URBAN GEM
Opulent, but not ostentatious. Soaring ceilings and grand proportions benefit from furniture that’s quietly confident. The rational forms and clean lines of Vincent Van Duysen’s designs ground the sumptuous setting, and complement luxury with an easy liveability.
This lamp is all about the balance of contrasts. The shade is stonewashed European linen, which has a warmth and tactility to it. I paired it with a graphic, cross-shaped base that brings a modernity to the design.

I like to create pieces that add an extra layer to the objects that surround them, and this lounge chair is a good example. There is a play of textures between the leather weave and the ash frame. A timeless living room piece able to reveal a beautiful patina over the time.
