Lacquered beech wood spice mill with steel accessories by Peugeot.
White is for salt.
Black and red are for pepper and other spices.

After manufacturing steel ribbons for sewing, saw blades, and springs for the watch industry, it was in 1840 that the Peugeot brothers designed their first coffee grinder. This marked the beginning of the production of Peugeot’s famous grinders, which were used to grind coffee beans, pepper, spices, flower of salt and even sugar for several generations up to the present day.
Parallel to the great adventure of cars and cycling, Peugeot has not stopped developing, innovating and perfecting its pepper grinders, which continue to be manufactured at the historic Doubs family factory in France.
